Breast Enlargement: Enhancing Your Shape with Confidence
A bespoke breast augmentation designed to complement your body, restore volume, and elevate your confidence.
The Problem
Many women feel that their breast size or shape does not reflect how they feel on the inside. Volume loss following pregnancy, breastfeeding, or significant weight changes can leave the breasts looking deflated or asymmetrical. In other cases, naturally smaller breasts can affect self-confidence, the fit of clothing, and how a woman feels in her own skin.
Diet and exercise have no effect on breast volume — this is determined by glandular tissue and fat, not muscle. For women seeking a lasting, proportionate change, breast enlargement surgery offers a safe and proven solution. I understand the deeply personal nature of this decision and approach every consultation with empathy, honesty, and a commitment to achieving a result that feels right for you.
The Solution: What is Breast Enlargement?
Breast Enlargement (breast augmentation) is a surgical procedure that uses implants — or, in some cases, fat transfer — to increase the size, improve the shape, and restore symmetry to the breasts. The goal is never to create a dramatic, artificial appearance, but to enhance your natural silhouette in a way that is proportionate and uniquely suited to your frame.
Every procedure I perform is entirely bespoke. During your consultation, we will discuss your goals in detail, assess your anatomy, and together choose the implant type, size, shape, and surgical approach that will deliver the most natural and satisfying result.

How the Procedure is Performed
Breast enlargement is performed under general anaesthetic and typically takes between one and two hours. The procedure involves several carefully considered choices that are made collaboratively with you beforehand:
1. Implant Type
I use only CE-marked, high-quality silicone implants from leading manufacturers. Modern cohesive gel implants feel and move naturally, minimising the risk of rippling or an unnatural appearance. We will discuss round versus anatomical (teardrop) implants based on your desired outcome and body shape.
2. Implant Placement
Implants can be placed either above the muscle (subglandular) or beneath the pectoral muscle (submuscular / dual-plane). Placement under the muscle is often recommended for patients with less natural tissue, as it provides greater coverage and a more natural contour. I will advise on the most appropriate option for your anatomy.
3. Incision Approach
The most common incision is made in the inframammary fold — the natural crease beneath the breast — which allows precise implant placement while keeping scarring discreetly hidden. In some cases, a periareolar incision (around the nipple) may be considered. All incisions are planned to minimise visible scarring.
4. Fat Transfer Option
For patients seeking a modest increase in volume without implants, fat transfer breast augmentation is an alternative. Fat is harvested from another area of the body via liposuction and carefully re-injected into the breasts. This approach is ideal for those wanting a subtle, entirely natural result.
Downtime and Recovery
- Days 1–3: Rest at home; some tightness and swelling is normal. You will be provided with a supportive surgical bra to wear continuously.
- Week 1–2: Light daily activities are permitted; avoid raising your arms above shoulder height and any strenuous movement.
- Week 3–4: Most patients return to desk-based work; driving is usually possible once you are off prescription pain relief.
- Week 6: Gentle exercise such as walking and lower-body training can resume.
- Week 8–12: Full return to the gym, swimming, and upper-body exercise. Final implant position and softness continues to settle over several months.
Safety & Considerations
Breast enlargement is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic procedures worldwide and has an excellent safety record when carried out by a qualified plastic surgeon. As with all surgery, there are risks which I will discuss with you in full during your consultation. These include temporary changes in nipple sensation, capsular contracture, implant displacement, and scarring. I will explain the steps I take to minimise each of these risks and ensure your long-term satisfaction.
I always recommend allowing at least 6 months after finishing breastfeeding before undergoing breast surgery to allow breast tissue to stabilise fully.
Do I Qualify?
Your journey begins with a comprehensive, no-pressure consultation. I will perform a thorough breast assessment, discuss your goals, and review your medical history to confirm that breast enlargement is the right procedure for you at this time.
